A Little Bit of Grace Book Summary :

A heartfelt story about family, forgiveness, and starting over when the happy ending ends--and handling it all with a little bit of grace. Family is everything--Grace Adams McHale's mom must have said it to her a thousand times before she died. Before Grace's dad ran off with an aspiring actress half his age. Before only-child Grace found out she was unable to have children of her own. Before Brian--her childhood best friend, business partner, and finally her husband--dropped a "bombshell" on her in the form of her stunning new replacement. Which means Grace now has...nothing. Until she receives a letter from a woman claiming to be a relative Grace never knew she had, sending her on a journey from the childhood home she had to move back into, to a Florida island to meet a total stranger who embraces her as family. There, Grace starts to uncover answers about the eccentric woman her family never mentioned: a larger-than-life octogenarian who is the keeper of a secret held for more than fifty years, and the ultimate inspiration to always be true to yourself. As Grace gets to know this woman and picks up the pieces of her own shattered life, she is forced to question whether she can find forgiveness for the unforgivable.

Book A Little Bit of Grace

A Little Bit of Grace Book Summary :

What would life be like if you had total faith in your instincts? If you knew they were the direct line to Source, Divinity, God? And that to learn to listen to them would align you with your happiest and most fulfilling life? In A Little Bit of Grace, Divine Grace Buszka shares her lifelong quest to attain such knowledge and faith. From a dramatic birth in a typhoon-whipped, rural town in the Philippines, to San Diego and to the South of France, we ride with Divine Grace on the rollercoaster of awareness and denial of one's own power. Returning to what is essential - Self Love - guides her spiritual journey. In this "coming-of-wisdom" memoir, peppered with insight, we come to understand, "You cannot learn to love yourself if you're unwilling to know yourself." Through stories of everyday life and out-of-this-world magic, we explore the duality of living as a spiritual being having a raw, human experience. Only by embracing this paradox does one reach ascension and enlightenment. In reading A Little Bit of Grace, you will be greatly inspired by the lesson that you need only to look within.

Book From Grace to Glory

From Grace to Glory Book Summary :

This book chronicles a life long journey of stunning and tragic events. It took some five plus years of a "backward glance" to describe that journey. It begins within the doors of a small, seemingly insignificant church on the south side of Chicago where "ordinary people" did extraordinary things; a little assembly of believers gathered together in the Lord's name. The church had been founded by an icon, a giant in the Christian community named B. M. Nottage, who started, along with his brothers, several assemblies in Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, and other cities. This book, "From Grace to Glory"..., gives a vivid picture of the marvelous grace of God and his unbounded, unlimited mercy through great tragedy and devastating losses. Read the shocking "unpleasant history" of this little church, and its' resilience through it all.Laugh out loud in "A Little Bit About A Lot of Things", as you look at Bob Hope's jokes and Mae West's one-liners. Read the jaw-dropping "You in six words" from Oprah Winfrey. Go back to another era of great books, outstanding movies, and awe-inspiring music. Share in the great pride of cultural icons who contributed so much to our country and ultimately to the whole world.Don't miss the chapter on the "Onslaught of Nines", where you will discover unknown facts, or surprising facts, or maybe "not-new facts", or just affirmation for the people, places, and things. You will wonder what is the "Fine As Wine In the Summertime" chapter all about? And then, this book gives a vivid picture of the great love and the deep ties of family; a family with an ancestor who could not read or write, but amassed a fortune in land and property. Love of family runs through this family whether you are rich and famous, or poor and needy, or somewhere in between. All families can affirm this, but this book tells it in a different way, in a different format. By reading "From Grace to Glory ... A little Bit About A Lot of Things", we are reminded of what is important in

Book Life Love and a Little Bit of Grace

Life Love and a Little Bit of Grace Book Summary :

"Love is more than a moment It's spending our life together Knowing you're inside of me Begins my tomorrow forever" Life has a passion for giving and receiving love. If you add a little bit of grace as the main ingredient this life is worth living. My introduction to wonder occurred while sitting on a hill overlooking a white sandy beach in Vietnam. I'm watching the crystal blue tides roll in as feeding birds dive into the crashing waves. There's this huge sun setting in the foreground and the brilliance of the scene overwhelms me. I'm in awe of this God who can place me in such a terrible place but still show me life's wonder. He's made me aware of the true beauty contained in this world. And this is my small attempt to replicate His majesty. I ended the work with "A Blessing." This is my gift given for you, so as you read this work I pray God will look down upon you, be gracious to you and give you peace. Thank you for reading.

Grace for the Good Girl Book Summary :

Many of us believe that we are saved by grace--but for too many, that's the last time grace defines our life. Instead of clinging to grace, we strive for good and believe that the Christian life means hard work and a sweet disposition. As good girls, we focus on the things we can handle, our disciplined lives, and our unshakable good moods. When we fail to measure up to our own impossible standards, we hide behind our good girl masks, determined to keep our weakness a secret. In Grace for the Good Girl, Emily Freeman invites women to let go of the try-hard life and realize that in Christ we are free to receive from him rather than constantly try to achieve for him. With an open hand and a whimsical style, Emily uncovers the truth about the hiding, encouraging women to move from hiding behind girl-made masks and do-good performances to a life hidden with Christ in God.

The Art of Grace On Moving Well Through Life Book Summary :

"Sarah Kaufman offers an old-fashioned cure for a modern-day ailment. The remedy for our culture of coarseness is grace…This is an elegant, compelling, and, yes, graceful book." —Daniel H. Pink, author of Drive In this joyful exploration of grace’s many forms, Pulitzer Prize–winning critic Sarah L. Kaufman celebrates a too-often-forgotten philosophy of living that promotes human connection and fulfillment. Drawing on the arts, sports, the humanities, and everyday life—as well as the latest findings in neuroscience and health research—Kaufman illuminates how our bodies and our brains are designed for grace. She promotes a holistic appreciation and practice of grace, as the joining of body, mind, and spirit, and as a way to nurture ourselves and others.

Book A Little Servant

A Little Servant Book Summary :

A short story of a little girl who is a servant and how she won the heart of an unbelieving gardener. One of Grace's earliest books was "A Little Servant," published in 1890 while she was still unmarried. If you're looking for an original, it's written by "Grace Livingston." A review is found in "The New York Evangelist" in February 1890: D. Book Prevenient Grace

Prevenient Grace Book Summary :

If a plant grows with shallow roots, the storms of a season will wither away and uproot it; like a house built on sand, a poor foundation will doom its fate. But this isn't a book on botany, nor on architecture; foundations, good roots, are essential to thought structures as well as material structures. In theology, a bad foundation will produce results as catastrophic as bad roots or shifting sand. How we think about God and His work in the world will profoundly affect how we live and work out our Christian faith. This book evolved from the conviction that a prominent theological system rests on a fragile foundation. It is written as a small contribution towards refounding our understanding of God's relationship with the world and our salvation on His Word. The theology in question is Arminianism; the foundation is prevenient grace. Deep within Evangelical Arminianism lies the essential doctrine that God has acted in the life of all human beings, giving them enabling grace enough to respond or reject His offer of salvation. The contention of this book is that this doctrine has no biblical grounds and is rationally unfounded and that Arminianism itself stands or falls on this doctrine.
